I received my BS from Troy University and my Masters from Amridge University in Marriage and Family Therapy. I selected to get a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy because I love the dynamics of family development. I possess more than 20 years of experience in the counseling profession as a mental health provider in various diverse settings. In a former position as a Mental Health Therapist, I provided counseling and skill building for adults with severe and persistent mental illness and those with co-occuring substance abuse. use disorders. I also have previous experience with case management and conducting psycho- educational groups. Additional qualifications include implementing crisis interventions and a strong interest in trainings in trauma, bereavement, and EFT.
